For nearly sixty – two years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston (BGCGH) remains one of the leading youth development organizations that serves youth ages 6 -17. Founded in 1952, BGCGH serves approximately 10,000 youth annually throughout the Greater Houston area with 2,000 of the youth served residing in Fort Bend County. With an annual budget of $5.3 million and a staff of 31 fulltime and 55 part-time employees, BGCGH is well positioned to increase its focus and efforts on providing youth with safe and productive options that help them excel and improve in school, social and community settings while fostering leadership, character and a sense of belonging. BGCGH’s youth – driven and evidence – based programs are offered throughout the school year and summer. BGCGH transforms the lives of youth and allow them to achieve positive outcomes through their participation in comprehensive services, high – yielding activities and experiential opportunities linked to college and job readiness, exercising good judgment/decision making and restraint from alcohol/drugs, gangs, violence and premature sexual activity.
